Bayou Jessamine is cleared for passage again!

The best and safest routes to Mound Island and other popular delta destinations is open as of today, September 24th 2012. Bayou Jessamine has been blocked by a tree that fell across it for so long that ASRT has cancelled two consecutive events planned there. though hit's too late to add another event, watch our site. We have a nice Bartram paddle figured out for next year.

Thanks to Hank Burch, Manager at Five Rivers Delta Resource Center, for making this happen. The weather and the availbility of people and equipment (not to mention the oversize chain saws that I understand had to be hauled down from Montgomery) finally came together to make this happen.
