Description: Musgrove Landing on the Alabama River encompasses 13.57 acres and 310 feet of waterfront with a dock and concrete boat ramp. A sign and Jolly Rogers (pirate) flag mark the dock and boat ramp which is on your right hand side if you are headed downstream towards Montgomery.
The property is entirely enclosed by a fence, and has road access to the Alabama River Parkway through a locked gate. A small natural history museum and library on the property boasts a 74 lb wooly mammoth tusk, a cave bear jaw, elephant skull, and other African specimens including a leopard, Indian artifacts and more, plus hundreds of books. Location: The landing is located 7 miles upstream from Montgomery and 10.5 miles downstream from where the Coosa and Dead River(branch of the Tallapoosa) join, which puts the landing at 17 miles downstream from Ft Toulouse. By road the landing is located at this address; 2378 Alabama River Parkway, Millbrook, AL 36054, which is ten minutes from downtown Montgomery, ten minutes from downtown Prattville, five minutes from Millbrook, and 15 minutes from Wetumpka.
$15 a head tent camping with outside running water and use of fire ring, dozens of sites available.
$30 a head, full service camping - includes phone charge, 1 laundry load, use of restroom with shower, and museum entry.
$10 a head Ride into Prattville for supplies – Bass Pro Shops, Publix Grocery, etc. are all a 5 minute drive from the landing.
Paddler Shuttle service to Downtown Montgomery Riverwalk or Cooter’s Pond in Prattville are available.
Fuel can be delivered to the dock for powerboats, for a fee, call ahead to make reservations.
