The Great Alabama 650: Race Week and New App!
The 8th edition of the Great Alabama 650 kicks off this Saturday, October 3! During the longest paddle race in the U.S., paddlers will have up to 10 days to finish, competing in one of three divisions of this 650-mile endurance challenge: male solo, female solo, and two-person team.
The race course follows the core section of the longest National Water Trail, the Alabama Scenic River Trail, which runs from the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Northeast Alabama through the heart of Alabama to Mobile Bay and the Gulf. As the host of the AL650, the Alabama Scenic River Trail (ASRT) organization strives to highlight the importance of these waterways and promote appreciation and recognition of the state’s exceptional water recreation opportunities.
We are thrilled to introduce the revamped AL650 race (web) app! The updated version includes an interactive tracking map, portage information, media links, a race calendar, and sponsor information. The app provides everything you need to keep up with the AL650, all in one place. You can view the app in your browser and add it as a home screen widget.
To add the web app to your home screen, follow these instructions:

Open the website in Safari.

Change the name if you want.
