Alabama Scenic River Trail is a 501(c)3 promoting 6,000+ miles of navigable waterways in Alabama. Stretching from North Alabama to the Gulf of Mexico and outward throughout the state, our network of trails always has a new experience to offer!
And now, a collaboration involving the city, The Nature Conservancy (TNC), National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Alabama Scenic River Trail, the local nonprofit Restoration154 and individual stakeholders promises a new chapter for Pea River.
The Alabama Scenic River Trail (ASRT) has unveiled a newly revamped website, which the member organization hopes will “revolutionize paddle planning and outdoor exploration in Alabama.”
Alabama boasts “the longest and most experience-diverse river trail in America” in the Alabama Scenic River Trail (ASRT). It also is home to the longest and most challenging annual paddle race in the nation, the Great Alabama 650.
