Sarah Dayhood is the most recent addition to the ASRT team, stepping into the Director of Development and External Affairs role in June of 2026. Her previous role introduced her to the nonprofit sector and the world of fundraising, where she discovered a passion for fostering connections and telling stories that move people to action. As a lifelong Alabamian with a love of the outdoors, Sarah can’t wait to help grow ASRT’s programs and show even more people the beauty and adventure waiting on the state’s waterways.

Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Auburn University. She is a member of AFP Alabama and is currently halfway through earning her certificate in Fundraising Management through the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.

In her free time, Sarah can be found paddling, camping, and hiking with her two dogs or enjoying live music. Her ideal day would involve all of the above!
