Trip Summary

Discover the charm of two towns Lanett, AL and West Point, GA, where river views, tasty bites, and a splash of history come together for the perfect weekend escape.

Day 1
Start your morning with a delicious breakfast from Sarajay’s, and savor it with a peaceful view at West Point River park . Once you’re fueled up, hit the water for a scenic paddle from Hardley Creek Park, just below the West Point Dam. Cruise through at your own pace and take in the beauty of the Chattahoochee.

Dry off and head to Johnny’s New York Style Pizza for a slice (or two!) and an ice-cold drink.

Optional Second Day or Trip Extension
History buffs, this one’s for you! Begin your day exploring Fort Tyler, a Civil War site with stories to tell and views to match. Then wrap up your adventure with a hearty Southern lunch at Roger’s Pit-Cooked BBQ, where the portions are big and the flavors even bigger.
