Savannah Schmidt stepped into the Communications Specialist role in the spring of 2025. Her previous experience with museums, non-profits, and media outlets inspired her passion for local communities. Utilizing her photography and media skills, she highlights the state’s natural beauty and helps people get on the water. During her education at Samford University, Savannah received her BA in History and comped as a track and field athlete.

Savannah grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to Birmingham in 2020. There, you can find her paddling at Oak Mountain, trail running, and seeking out beautiful places to adventure!
